Emergency Preparedness for the Workplace

Approximately a 2 hour course designed to review various  types of emergencies, planning guidelines, and basic steps for handling emergencies in the workplace, based on best practices and OSHA requirements for emergency action planning. Students will have an opportunity to identify elements and steps necessary to implementing an effective emergency action plan. Communications, training, medical and first-aid services, and security are explored as additional planning priorities.  Students will learn to recognize required medical and first-aid services, identify communications priorities and explore procedures to account for all employees and visitors during an emergency.
