AED PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Rescue One Training for Life, Inc. offers AED Program Management services, which is designed to help you manage every aspect of your AED program, including helping to keep your AED in proper working order, ensuring that your AED program is being conducted in accordance with each state’s laws and regulations, and helping to protect you and your business from liability under the Good Samaritan Law.

AED Program Management services include:
AED Maintenance & Support
- Annual inspection to ensure AED is in proper working order and to check expiration date(s) and functionality of the electrodes and battery(s) and replace them as necessary.
- Provide replacement electrodes/pads and batteries as they are due to expire. Replacement goods will be shipped or brought to client in a timely manner.
- Provide replacement of AED responder kit supplies and electrodes/pads used during a rescue. Client should contact Rescue One immediately when there has been a use of the AED.
- Provide update/upgrade services to AEDs as AED guidelines change or as AED corrections are needed.
- Provide on-call onsite services, as necessary, for AED service issues that may occuur.
- Provide a temporary alternate AED within 24 hours if your AED should need to be taken out of use for servicing.
Medical Oversight
- Providing for an AED medical authorization/prescription** for your AED(s), which is required by federal/state law
- Local EMS registration/notification of placement of all AEDs, including filing of the appropriate paperwork
- Ongoing Medical Oversight under a licensed physician to include AED event review, consultation, and documentation
Data Management/Tracking and Record Keeping
- Access to Rescue One’s AED online manager program, which helps you maintain records of training, product and supply expiration dates, location and serial numbers of AEDs, and other information pertinent to your AED program.
- Monitoring expirations of the AED(s) batteries and pads
Written Compliance
- Providing an AED Implementation Plan
- Providing a template to use to develop your company’s Medical Emergency Response Plan
CPR/AED Certification Verification
- Verifying that anticipated volunteer responders of AED(s) complete the proper training and maintain certification in CPR and the use of AED(s)
**The prescription is a standing order from a medical doctor that authorizes trained individuals to utilize an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), in conjunction with CPR, to assist in resuscitation of a victim who is in cardiac arrest.
