Approximately a 6 – 8 hour renewal course designed for students who are currently ACLS and BLS certified. Course work contains obligatory AHA lectures and reviews the identification and treatment of medical conditions contributing to cardiac arrest; treatment choices for arrest and peri-arrest patients; BLS CPR techniques; recognition of algorithms; interpretation of arrhythmias and appropriate ACLS drug therapy. Upon course completion, with a passing score on the written exam, and successful Megacode skills evaluations, students receive an ACLS Provider certification card valid for two years.
